A classic Ford versus Chevrolet battle took place during the 2017 12 Hours of Sebring IMSA endurance race. After a late race full course caution the #66 Ford GT driven by Dirk Mueller was directly behind the first place #3 C7R Corvette driven by Antonio Garcia. When the green flag dropped, the Ford was glued to the rear deck of the Corvette for several laps, then Garcia was able to slowly pull away from the Ford GT to ultimately win the GT class. 15x20 Limited Edition Giclee Print - $$55.00
The Cleveland skyline provides the backdrop as Tommy Kendall closely pursues Ron Fellows in a classic high speed Camaro versus Mustang battle in the early stages of the 1996 Sports Car Club of America Trans Am race at the city's Burk Lakefront Airport. For many years the Sports Car Club of America A Production class was one of the most popular with drivers and spectators alike. By the fall of 1978 the class was almost exclusively populated by Corvette roadsters powered by 427 cubic inch or 454 cubic inch engines. This car was able to win the once around the clock contest finishing only 1.46 seconds ahead of the similar #10 prototype of Wayne Taylor Racing. 1963 it became the obsession of Henry Ford II for a Ford to win the Le Mans 24 Hour endurance race and beat Ferrari on European soil. Finally in 1966, after two years of frustration, victory was indeed achieved with the GT40 Mark II. But the victory had been achieved with a car that was a descendant of the British designed Lola GT and rumor was that Ferrari would return in 1967 with a stronger car, the 330P4. Limited Edition Print Signed by Artist The 1988 24 Hours of LeMans became a titanic struggle between European manufacturers Jaguar and Porsche. Five XJR-9 Jaguars were entered against eleven Porsche 962 prototypes. Even though a Porsche 962 turned in the fastest qualifying lap, the #2 Jaguar able win by a slim margin of 2 minutes 36 seconds over the second place Porsche.
